CGD Family Testimonials
If you're on the fence about working with us, read what our CGD family has to say about their experiences!
Keith Cox, Abby & Cabela
"Firstly I would like to thank Canadian Gun Dogs for meeting and surpassing my exceptions for both Cabela and Abby. When Cabela went to CGD two months ago she had some bad habits including creeping on birds and forcing the flush. But as I witnessed yesterday Cabela is solid as a rock on point and retrieved all her shot birds. Abby has a very soft temperament and personality which required a different approach to training. I was amazed at her progression and transition. She has developed a lot of confidence and to watch her find and point her birds without the use of a check cord was amazing. Clint and Kaitlyn at Canadian Gun Dogs make an amazing team. The way they transition their obedience program and put it to use in the field is a real work of art. Thank you for all your hard work and we look forward to Abby returning next spring to complete her hunt training."

Jerry Hannon, Oskar
"If you wish to have your pup trained, Canadian Gun Dogs has got you covered! I could not be happier! Oskar just got back home with 4 months of training in tow. While we were 16 hours apart from one another, I could not be happier with my choice. Kaitlyn, you are Magic! The pup you got and the one I got back were no where near the same.I am grateful!! I know Oskar and you had a major task on your hands and you nailed it. Clint, I look forward to having Oskar back up North for duck training. Thank you for everything! A big fan near and far. Happy hunting season for those at Canadian Gun Dogs. For anyone that has questions about CGD, reach out to me directly. you will get an ear full of nothing but the best!"

Darren Ainsworth, Sadie
Sadie is our now 10 month old German Shorthaired Weimaraner. She spend 2 months with CGD to work on obedience and to set her up for hunt training for upland bird. I was blown away with how far she came in those 2 months! At the time Sadie was 6 1/2 months and to see her growth was impressive. I had hoped to get her to a place where we could start the hunt training next spring but with her gains during the obedience training we kept her with CGD for a third month to where she is now steady to flush. From where she started to where she is today is amazing and all credit to Kaitlyn and Clint! While the journey has really just begun I am so pumped to continue it with CGD and can’t wait to see where we get by the end of next season! If you are on the fence about sending your dog to CGD, I can tell you without reservation that it was the best thing we have done!
